I've known that he will need brackish water when we gets older. I know about the is way before I buy them.

That does kind of make it sound like you weren't aware I'm afraid.
Paul & Dan are right ... the only thing you could do to help your catfish right now is get him some salt and slowly raise the SG of your water. The way your catfish is behaving right now shows he's ready to get moved to (quite strong by now) brackish water.

Hopefully you'll be able to provide this for him and he'll be doing better soon =) I'm sure you'll try your best

Come on guys give him a break he's only thinking of the fish, if you can't be bothered to reserach your fish why bother getting them, you see them at the lfs and oh don't they look cool, they would look great in my tank, well think again,i'm sick to death of seeing fish abused because fishkeepers just can't be bothered to look after them, and keep them in the right size tank and conditions, so please keep it to yourself as paul at least he no what he sayiny and i back him all the way.

We know, like Paul what he should be doing but if he isnt gonna listen whats the point in telling him???
JP: We are all in agreement with paul, so please please get the tank and water conditons the poor LIVING creature NEEDS to live, as what your doing to him is similar to you being locked in room and havin oxygen replaced with ozone gas/oxygen mix, yes you will live for a short time, but youl be very uncomfortable and eventually die. Just like this poor fish will.
