The New Orleans @ Indianapolis isnt that hard to pick. NO has won I think all their pre-season and IND has lost all their pre-season. Im not going to do mine till there is few days before the first round begins hehe

Yes, but the colts are notorious for their bad peformances in the preseason. Mainly because that don't play their starters much. Manning only threw 9 passes last game...

apart from key injuries that are picked up, you cannot base what might happen in the "real" season on what happens on the pre-season

if my team Denver went 4-0 with great stats or 2-2 with average stats, either way it wouldnt really affect my confidence in them, like i say the only crucial thing about pre-season is injuries.

I agree Drummer about the colts resting Manning. Yeah you cant really judge a team by pre-season cause of them only playing half of their team and still getting used to the new players.

just a suggestion.....

we close the competition just when kick off starts for the first game? No late entries? thats my view, otherwise i dont see how its going to work if people join whilst the season has started? Although perhaps its possible i guess, as i imagine the person with the best winning percentage of "bets" wins the competition? But it would be better if all the people at the beginning were the only entrants and we all battle through a 17-week season!!!

Also, in terms of the deadline, as long as we post our predictions BEFORE the first game kicks off that would be ok? evidence would be here based on time and day that the predications were made?

With the exception of Thursday games, that would mean most bets would need to be confirmed by Sunday afternoon?

maybe set-up a thread where we JUST put our predictions and all other "comments" can be deleted to keep it simple? I am sure the mods wouldnt mind sorting that out?

Fry lover: We could except late entrants to the competition if we go by each round that has gone by I calculate the away teams wins. I suppose we could just have our own little comp. But its not to late to attrach more people cause the season hasnt fully started yet. We could just keep it on this thread. Would just mean you had to read abit more on this thread. Yes I will keep an eye on peoples best to make sure that they are all in on time. After say week 1s games have finished I will post up week 2s games so there is about 5 days where everyone has time to place there bets. It will all come abit clear once the first week has gone by
