im thinking of adding some apistos or other new world cichlids, but i dont know much about them, they will be taking the spot of my kribs, because the kribs are to agressive (potentially) the bottom dwellers are or will be: 4 bolivian rams, 6 coolie loaches, 6 corydoras, 2 BN plecs and thats all i can think of for now... but there might be more.

any suggestions? and if you have one can you post a picture please?

Keyhole, smiling acara, dwarf flag acara, golden dwarf cichlid, rainbow but they can be 5-6",

sweet, i had thought of keyholes, but ive never looked at how big they grow and stuff, would they be safe with neon tetras?

I agree with snowflake good suggestions :) for the mix of fish in there. If it were me I would go for the smiling and/or gold dwarfs beautiful under appreciated fish IMO. As for keyholes they males get to about 4 inches look stunning as adults, I had some in the past but I dont know if I would have them again if you see what I mean.

I have a keyhole and I love him. He is 4" and I think he is great one of my top fav fish. They are fine with small fish I don't think the neons would be a problem.

*ps sorry mods for external links but no profiles on these in our library

i like the smiling acara, but i like the idea of a keyhole because it grows bigger and wont eat the neons, but it looks like a duller version of the bolivian rams i have, i have a bit to think about now i guess, whay wouldnt you have a keyhole again wills?

I have a pair of Keyholes and they are wonderful fish, not at all shy as some reports of them. I have lots of hidin gplaces but they are generally out at the front of the tank begging for food. I also have a pair of Leatacara curviceps which, if you want more colourful fish would be a good addition to your tank. Mine are ony around 2inch mark and have lovely blue and red markings like the link below and are not at all agressive to any of the other tank occupants.
