Amazon Sand

I'm trying to create an Amazon theme set up which will only have driftwood, broken pieces of wood & some appropriate leaves.

I've watched a few under water films on Youtube from the Amazon but its difficult to tell what colour it really is.

I don't want to get this wrong as I am having to take my current gravel out when I decide on which sand.

Is there any right or wrong sand to use in this set up? What are the best makes/quality?
