Amazon Frogbit - How Does It Multiply?

I recently got some Amazon frogbit for my Juwel Rio 125. How does this plant multiply? I keep finding little green 'pod' type things in the filter-wool in my internal juwel filter. Just wondering if these are the little 'baby' plants and if I should cover the filter in-take holes with some netting to stop these getting sucked in?

They make runners out from the side and grow more plants on them, might be seeds in the filter.

Yup. I had some of these back along. A few leaves will start growing on a stalk off to the side of the main plant. Eventually the stalk breaks off and the leaves become a new plant.
