I'm in the process of redoing my 33g into an Amazon community (not a strict biotope thought). My stocking scheme thus far is:

-10 Cardinals (5 are still in quarantine at the moment--new arrivals)
-2 Bolivian Rams
-5 Peppered corys
-BN Pleco

would there be anything else that I could add to this setup?? I'm a little weary of marbled hatchets, but I was thinking either another group of tetras or an angel, but any other suggestions/comments are welcomed.

Also as far as substrate right now I have just natural gravel, do you think something like Eco-complete would look better and compliment my Amazon theme??

Thanks

A few pencilfish (nannostomus) would be a nice addition that fits the theme and would get along well with the other fish you suggested. There are a few varieties out there and any would be suitable. unifasciatus, beckfordi or, eques.

if I choose to go with pencilfish, how many could I add??

They will do fine in a group of 3 but you could have a couple more if you think you have the space.

ok thanks

does any one else have any suggestions/opinions??
