My understanding is that some May live under lower light but won't show the red coloring as much... Worth a try.

ok ive looked threough my options and have selected the plants i like
sagittaria platyphylla
saggitaria sabulata
Alternanthera reineckii
echinodorus reni
echinodorus ozelot leopard
Hydrocotyle leucocephala 
Alternanthera reineckii
Staurogyne rubescens
my plan will most likely go into action on the next week or so i will publish a link to a diary once i start renovating the tank (most likely when ive got rid of the old fish)

ive changed the light to 2 x 16w t5 (a normal day glo and a reddish puink tropical one srry dont know th ekelvin rating of either) and a blue led bar for a night litght if this will cause any complications plz say (went to the store for the origonal light came out with something completely different )
