Now, i know that they dont mix with the larger Amazonian cichlids like angels but could i include 6 or so Microgeophagus ramierzi in my planted aquaria with what will be stocked with around 20 Caridina japonica?

If anyone has in the past or present had any experience of keeping the two together please do share :)

At the moment i have a female siamese fighter in as an experiment and so far all she is interested in is the movement of their little legs.

thanks :)

Been there, done that, no problems :) In fact have both standard rams and gold rams and neither have been a problem with shrimp.

Why you adding 6 rams thou? Don’t think you're supposed to have more than two unless the tank is huge, think its to do with their territories.

I have heard that if you keep enough they get along.....thought 6 would be enough.

The tank i plan to house them in is a Trigon 190. probably room for 2 pairs. I would like to add some golden ones as well :)
