I'm just wondering if anyone has any lived experience of keeping Tiger Barbs with Amano shrimp (rather than general thoughts or conjecture)? The tiger barbs will be in a school of 25 minimum, so any aggression beyond their own hierarchical squabbling is likely to be limited and will be in a 193 gallon heavily planted tank. Cherry shrimp seem an absolute no, but Amanos are obviously a lot bigger. I have Amanos in my angelfish tank and the shrimp are giants. Never seen them hassled once by the angelfish, or the rainbow shark in there, so just wondering if anyone has tried this successfully, or unsuccessfully before and could share their experience.

Thanks.

Never personally tried it. As long as the tank is heavily planted, all should be good. Tiger Barbs are naturally aggressive, but because they are in such a big group, it should stay to a minimal.
