Am I Over-stocked?

bronze and peppered corydoras along with the zebra danios prefer temperatures of about 22-25 degrees whereas rams (german blue, or royal in your case) MUST be kept at 28-32 degrees with 30 being preferable...if you dont they will more than likely die a lot earlier than they should do.

you cannot keep cories at this temperature as it will kill them, bar sterbai, schultzei and a few others.

i would suggest taking them back

 I had a read recently on corys and their temperature requirements. I'm surprised I was sold the bronze and peppered together when they cannot live within same temp range. I've had my fish for 7 months now and haven't lost one (corys were the first to go in). Ive had the tank at a constant 28C. The peppered corys should be around 18-20C and 23C when breeding. Im thinking if I'm at 28C I should be okay apart from my 2 peppered corys, will high temperature shorten their lifespan?

Could you write a description of what your rams look like or upload a picture please?

Yes the higher temperature will considerably shorten their lives.

Not very good quality but they wont stay still long enough for a photo. At 1:18 is the male and then at 00:18 is ? (video counts down on photobucket).

The male has a very black, tall spike at the front of it's dorsal fin (this is the highest point on Dorsal). The find then tapers to a point towards the rear.
The (possible female) is a smaller fish. Similar colourings yet not as vibrant. The Dorsal Fin doesn't taper but round off. However I'm not sure if this is from nipping when they were at the shop..

Would you expect the Peppered Corys to show any sign that they are uncomfortable with the temp? They are swimming and eating fine. Just not much growth compared to the Bronze.

Thanks for your help :)

They are bolivian rams, not blue rams as previously suggested. Lower your temperature to between 25 and 26.5C, as being a different fish means they need different requirements. They are a more friendly ram for community tanks (ie. not needing such a high temp. and easier to keep).

Lowering the temperature means you won't have to worry about your corys anymore either. I have peppered in with my bolivians and they're doing fine.

As for sexing, the one at the beginning is a definite male. I'm uncertain on the other but it does look male (although I have a female that's similar looking, kind of androgynous. Maybe it was hormone bred?).

both rams have black on them
Yeah so? Did you see the lack of blue markings on the face? Did you see the red coloured fin edgings?

To the OP, slowly lower your temperature to between 25 and 26.5C (over 3-7 days).

thanks my temp is at 26C now. and my peppered corys should be re-homed soon hopefully so that would mean all my fish are at a reasonable temp.

regarding the colourings you two are talking about, does this mean they're both male or could one be female?
