Fish Addict
Well seeing as I have switched my stock a few times right now and plan to do so even more soon I am worried about over and under feeding. For the past few months I have been feeding a combination of Cucumber, Frozen Blood Worms and Flakes.
My mollies and oto where raised on Flakes and Cucumber and each that easily, same for blood worms. I tend to feed them every 1-3 days depending on whats going on. Since I added Cory 1-2 months ago I have been feeding pelates as well 1-3 times a week. With new fish being added I am worried that my Cory, BN and Honey Gourami are being neglected. The Cory seem fine and the new ones introduced are great too. The BN seems to eat the cucumber and scavenge for food but i cant confirm since when I am in the room he always hides. The oto come out and feed on cucumber daily (I leave 2-4 small slices in the tank at a time. They finish it every 2 days usually).
The honey are my biggest concern. I recently bought a male Honey to go with my female (having issues sexing her) but the female seems to be very very skittish. before my first one died she was fine but after I added the 3rd she now shows similar signs while the new one seems perfectly fine. If this ends badly I plan to stick to a single honey which he seems to be eating fine.
Lastly my DP I feed 1-3 times a week since he is in his own tank. He eats the blood worms fine and is not picky about it. Thats about all he will eat though. No Flakes (of course) and no brine shrimp. Should I be worried at all? He has lasted the last 4-6 months in mostly solitude just fine. I plan to try oto in his tank soon perhaps but am debating weather or not to see if he can have a better home since I feel I may not have a proper environment for him. He just seems so board and lonely to me.
Also should I look into mixing up the food in my community tank? Would Freeze Dried Krill/Blood Worm be a good option and while I use good quality flakes should I look into ones that have spirlina as well?
