I'm currently feeding my 2 6" and a 4" senegal bichirs 1 cube of frozen bloodworm 4 times a day. The size of the cube of frozen bloodworm is about 1.8cm x 1.8cm x 1.3cm. Am I feeding them enough or too little?

If there are no leftovers you're feeding enough tho you might want to add other foods
to thier diet and a good quality pellet too-Anne

I'm not sure if they like pellets though... Do you think I should include others into their diet?

They will take pellets - it may take a while for them to realise they are food but once they do there will be no stopping them. My senegal even eats the floating pellets I feed my Oscars - comes right up to the surface for them. Now I feed her and my Lapradei pellets as their staple diet with bloodworm/prawn/lancefish as treats.

my ornate loves pellets, it took a while but as soon as he did he seemed to thicken out and now there is no stopping him

my delhezr likes pellets, its only the jmc catfish pellets i have seen it eat mind, i feed the flnating cichlid pellets too in my tank and never seen it take them, might just be a case of laziness though!
I would of thought bloodworm is a little small for the bichir too enjoy at and after the 6 inch mark, try lance fish and prawn and just vary as much as you can what it eats and you should have a happy bichir!
When my delhezi gets a decent size lancefish he may not eat for another 2-3 days! And never goes thin, actually he is getting a bit of a belly!

Frozen Prawns are a big favourite of my 2.

I would actually recommend a different style of feeding for predators such as Bichirs. I tend to feed mine every other day rather than 3 or 4 times a day like other fish. It is more what they are acustomed to in the wild. If you have to feed other fish in the tank that often then its fine but once a day would be fine, just slightly more than you are.

I feed growing bichirs several times a day. However once I notice growth slowing I cut back to once a day then every other day-Anne
