Walking pass the plants in the LFS these plants really stood out a lot.

£5 well spent.

Where's the best spot to place it?

In my limited experience of this plant, it was a difficult one. It grew well under strong light, but so did algae on its leaves. In usual, came with the aquarium kit lighting, it didn't do well. I had a fancy plant light LED that grew it, but I couldn't get a balance of its lighting needs versus algae.

My nerite snails would (hopefully) deal with the algae.

It needs a decent level of light and doesn't like being moved too often. It's slow growing compared to many stemmed plants which is why algae can overcome it. Mine wasn't doing particularly well (even with Nerites present) until I discovered that my tap water is high in silicates. I used Phosguard to remove these, after which all algae disappeared (my issue was mainly diatomic 'brown algae') This plant is now doing really well. I keep it in the brightest part of the tank and fertilize with TNC Lite and a low tech home made sugar /yeast CO2 system.
