Hello,
I have just bought a Nutrafin Natural CO2 System (Ladder) and the activator and stabiliser it came with were expired. So, I thought of using Allinson's Dried Activated yeast. However, no CO2 were coming out unless I shake it. If not, a bubble comes out once every few minutes. It talks about "activation" first. Does that mean the temperature has to be lukewarm before they all "come alive"? However, if the temperature was colder, will it not active, or will it but at a slower rate?
I guess my other question is, does the dried activated yeast need to overcome a certain temperature barrier in order for it to active? Like activation energy.
Ingredients:
Sugar until first line.
1tsp. Baking Soda
3/4tsp. Yeast
Thanks for the help!
