How many hours do you have to light on the tank?

Also overcrowding, overfeeding and/or poor water conditions can often be the cause!

it may be a touch over stocked by a couple of inches, but i do keep on top of water cahnges, say 25% 3 times a week light on fomr say 9 til 9 is this much to long?

If it is very well planted then the plants would need a good amount of light but even then I would cut it down quite a lot!!!

If it isn't planted or has imitation plants then 12hrs is way too much...if you only put you light on for viewing purposes then try to cut down by half.

If you are half planted then experiment around the 8 hrs + or - until you are satisfied. Or lessen the intensity!

12 hours is a lot!!!
