Algea Eater

Hello again, I am thinking I would, eventually, like an algae eater for my tank. Can anyone suggest a good algea eater for me? I have a 55 gallon with 7 guppies and a shoal of 15 neon tetra. I have also just planted it with a bunch of "Guppy Grass". I have been researching algea eaters and most of the ones I can find get very big. I would love a pleco but I don't want to overstock my tank.

A bristlenose plec is ideal.

Stay about 6 inches and eats algae, but would also need supplemental feeding.

you could maybe have a small school of otos they need a large amount of algae to feed on, so they would be great if you have an algae problem, and how many hours a day do you keep your light on in the tank

Perhaps a pitbull plec or a Hillstream Loach?
Maybe a clown pleco.

No, I don't have a large algae problem (yet) but I do get a small amount of algae stick to the glass and have to scrub the glass about every 2 days. I keep my (very weak, lame 15 watt lights) on for about 12 hours a day. Is that too much? I do have a VERY nice and powerful tank light but it needs new bulbs and I don't want to spend the money on that right now so I am just using the weak lights for now.
