Algae

Hi.

I've got a 50 ltr tank with 5 neon tetra and 2 honey gouramis. There was some algae on the side of the tank and i left
it thinking it would be good for the tank. When i finnaly
decided to get rid of some it my algae cleaner doesnt even touch it,
does anyone know how to get it off?. thanks

Algae magnets are only good for small amounts and frequent use.

What you should do is get a new, CLEAN scourer/scrubber that you would use to wash your pots with, scrub the algae off and then clean your substrate to get all the debris that has been scrubbed away. Obvious reminder, but make sure you don't use a metal scourer with soap on it.

some fish will eat algae such as otos and plecos.
(im growing some algae atm for my new otos next week)

apparently it is gone in no time. however if you choose to use fish also use algae wafers and cucumber
