Algae On Glass

hi everyone I was just wondering about the brown algae on the glass and decorations while I am cycling the tank,does it effect the cycling process if I remove it? It makes the tank look awful

It wont affect anything if you remove it. But you might find it comes back pretty quickly. Hehe, so feel free. But be ready to have to do it again in a few days.

another user on here recommended you keep the tank covered from light during the cycling process, which is what I am doing, and no algae thus far
might be an issue if you have live plants in the tank though

The only reason I didn't turn off the light is that I have live plants in there

Start by limiting your light hours to a few in the morning when you're there and more in the evening when viewing, etc.
