I have a 10 gallon aquarium with 2 dwarf gourami I have to clean all the decorations and clean the sides with a magnetic cleaner every week to get rid of the algae. The light is left on roughly 10 hours. The tank has been set up for about 3 months and the only plant is one newly planted lily pad bulb. I tried adding Ghost Shrimp to the aquarium but the gourami killed and ate them. What else can I attempt to control it?

NOOO!! Don't get Chinese algae eaters, because when they mature they get very aggressive and will kill other fish. Siamese algae eaters do a better job and they don't get aggressive.
