If I use real plants not fake one will I still have problems with alge?

It is possible. Algea in a heavily planted tank with carefuly selected plants is usualy reduced, but it is never fully removed. There will always be traces of elements available to the dredded stuff, but the theory is that plants will out-compete the algea to those nutrients, and thus reduce its growth.

All the best

Anywhere there is water and light you will get algae. The more light you have and the more nutrients in the water, the more algae you get.
Having live plants in the tank will help to utilise the light and nutrients thus reducing the available food for the algae.
You will probably get some algae but not a lot. And any algae you get can usually be removed with a sponge or algae magnet, or even algae eating fish.

when i first got my tank, i used real plants - believe me there no good...

although they would get rid of less algae, they are more hassle then there worth. everytime i'd move something or turned the pump on, the tank would be filled with bits of leaves, gunk and stuff. everyday there would be a new leaf floating on top plus sometimes live plants come with snail eggs in them and you'll end up getting infested with them.

i'd suggest getting fake plants and just wiping the glass every now and them with a magnetic cleaner.

Im sorry, but Id suggest YOU did things wrong.... there are MILLIONS of folk who keep planted tanks, myself included, and they are little hassle if kept right... please READ up on the topic before offering "advice" !

Having plants in your tank is a bonus, the fish enjoy them and they make the tank look lovely among other things.... I have never had plastic plants.

I am no expert in plant keeping but I have had lots of success and in my opinion it's fun learning how to look after your plants just as you learn how to look after your fish.

There are lots of plants that require minimum attention see the pinned topic in the planted tank section HERE.

This is great advice and nicely written!

I'm a beginner too and trying to read some of the huge planted tank section when I have time. Several experienced comments I've read have suggested that 70% coverage of the substrate with live plants is a good rough estimate of the starting point at which plants will out-compete the algae for nutrients and the aquarist will fare better with algae control.
