Albino Cory Unwell I Think?

Depends on how many gallons is the tank when adding water that hasn't been treated.
I added it to about 30 gallons so the untreated water dosn't do anything as its only a small amount of untreated water going into the tank.
I usually boil the water then let it cool down.

You might of gotten away with it with the water being warm.

So I guess leave it for now, then do the second treatment on monday but use the hot kettle water for it rather than tank water?

You can use tank water if you heat a jug of the water in a pan of boiling water.
How does the cory look tonight.

Well when you asked I went over and took another look.
In all honesty I thought he had died. He was laying still tucked in tight at the base of a plant. I was able to gently touch against him with my 'planter' and he didn't move. So I decided to try and isolate him, managed to net him, not too much struggle, started to bring him towards the surface and "oh my" did he wake up! I managed to get him into the pot, but he was swimming around all over the place, exploring, investigating, generally being his 'mad' normal self!
The tub was too small really to keep him in, even floating in the tank, so I've released him back into the tank and he seems quite lively in there again.
I don't know whats going on, in all honesty, he looks fine, he seems to be perfectly 'able' when he wants to, but 99% of the time it seems now he just can't be bothered. Other fish can swim past and his fins will just sway in the water disturbance and he stays put.

Very bizarre. I'll hold off treatment until monday anyway, and see how things go.
When you said you wouldn't add any other fish for a month, was that even WITH dosing the tank? The only reason I ask is all his characteristics seem to be like he is bored / lonely. When there was 2 in the tank they were always active, when there were 4 they were the same, and now that there is 3, (which due to buying times must really be 2 + 1 if you see my point), the 'third' is lethargic. Obviously I don't want to risk fish uneccasarily, but I was thinking perhaps if 3 more cory's is a bad idea, perhaps just an extra 1 would be worth while, just to see if it makes a difference, if things are still like this in say a weeks time? (so after a full week of the anti-bac being in the tank)?

I'm not trying to sway your judgement one way or the other, just interested to hear your thoughts on this :)

I would still add the med as he dosn't sound right to me.
Plus if he not well he won't want new comers in the tank bothering him.
Not wise to add new fish when you have ill fish, but that's down to you if you do.
We can only offer advice its down to you if you take it.

The interpet med won't harm is only good on mild bacterial infections, plus it dosn't alter water stats.

Sorry, when you say you would still add the med, do you mean you would add another dose NOW, or you would still do the second dose on Day 4 as on the bottle?

Sorry not making myself clear.
I would still dose the second dose or it will be a complete waste of time adding it.
Let us know how he gets on bless him.
Had any fish pecked at the dead body of the other cory as bacterial infections can pass on that way.

No, I don't believe anyone had pecked at the other Cory, it seemed perfectly fine other than what looked like either an internal bleed, or a belly full of daphnia!

Will put in the second dose on Monday then :good:

Here is a little video of the chap we are talking about now, (when I put him in the container to look at).
I only have my phone available at the moment, and it's so slow at taking pictures that they come out blurry of the fish, so the video seems to show more, (although it goes a bit out of focus at the end for some reason!)

Hows the fish doing now.

Still plodding around the tank, seems not much changed, will dose again tomorrow as per bottle, and see how things go through the week :)

Ok thats fine then,.

:( He died last night. Whatever it was finally got to him it seems.
Just doing a repeat dosing of the anti-internal bacteria treatment, does this also treat internal parasites? If not what does?

Thanks!

Ok, I'll see if I can get hold of that too then, thanks. I just can't 'SEE' what is causing the deaths, so I have to assume it is something internal. Just want to cover all bases :)
