Hopefully there will be DTCTPKs (or the beginnings thereof) soon! My DTPK from Synirr spawned with my Thai DR CT female this afternoon! The original plan was to spawn her with my green marble plakat Viridian, but he was being very aggressive (he already killed his sister a few weeks ago) so I went to plan B. Ali's getting to be an old man... two years old... but figured I'd give him a go anyway.

Ali was a complete gentlemen, as I knew he would be... the funny thing is, Jade, although she was barred up, seemed to be ignoring him the entire time they were together... I went upstairs to put them both back into their own tanks... and saw they were spawning! Guess the old man's still got it in him.

Here's hoping Ali will be a good daddy like he was with his first spawn. Cross your fingers!

wow Lisie's been getting to work with her breeding, nice fishes btw! they own my single petstore VT betta, but none the lessi still love the guy, though hes sulking right now in his bowl(lol!)

Well, I seriously thought Ali had eaten the eggs because I couldn't see any in the nest, the nest was getting smaller and smaller because he wasn't adding to it, and he was pretty much ignoring it. I figured I'd give it another day though, just in case.

And this morning there are a few tails hanging from what's left of the nest! Maybe 4 or 5... which is fine with me since they'll be combtails anyway. I'm really excited... I just hope there's at least one male/female pair!

Just realized I never updated this...

There are two fry that made it... I'm just going to hope that they are male and female rather than spawn the parents again. If it turns out they're the same sex I'll give this pair another go.

The babies are growing pretty fast though, and are really cute... I'll try to get some pics later if I can.
