are air stone any good and do you turn them off at night

I honestly didn't see any difference in my fish, when I stopped using an airstone , but I got to admit that when placed in the right place it can look rather unsightly or it can look really good

thanks for your repy i hid my behid some bog wood the fish love it i turn it off at.just got a three foot tank the go at the moment waiting to put the fish in soon
