Hi,

I've had a small tank set up for a while. Now I want to add a decorative air pump that will blow bubbles up from the bottom upwards.

Any advice on what I need? and do these work as filters too?

Cheers,

Paul.

what size is the tank, you can pick up a small pump at Willkinsons for £5.99 atm it will run a 6" airstone. i dont know what you mean by filters???? you only mention air pumps. if i guess, do you mean under gravel filter? if so i would say dont, get yourself a small intermal filter, should be no more than £10-15.

All you need is the pump, tubing, and an airstone as well as a nearby electrical outlet to plug it in to.

What do you mean by "do they work as filters"?

under gravel filters are powered by air pump!

Sponge & box filters are powered by air, and are excellent for fry tanks.

The air pump will not filter your water if thats what you're asking

Hi! Hydor Ario Turbo Air Pump filters and has a led light too! It is everything in one small package and all you have is one plug. You don't even have to run air line becouse the whole thing goes in. I love mine!
drsfostersmith.com has them on sale right now. I am thinking about getting another one.
I hope that helps.
