Hi guys
I have recently got a pair of pearl Gouramis - The female is fully grown (5") and the male is about 3"
They share a 100l heavily planted tank with several corys, a small Siamese Flying Fox and 12 cardinals
The male has recently become very frisky and is harrassing the female relentlessly - She now spends most of her time hidden at the back near the bottom amongst the plants.
I got another female who is about the same size as him, so his attentions would be divided but now I just have 2 hiding females
He doesn't attack to injure them, but he is very persistent and clamps his mouth around their fins and on their sides. He doesn't seem to care which female, he just goes straight for whoever shows their face and they soon go back into hiding.
I always research my fish before I buy them, and I was led to believe this was a very peaceful species so now I feel a bit annoyed about the situation. Is there anything I can do to curb his behaviour?
Thanks
