Aggressive Fry

I happen to check on my Guppy fry yesterday and I noticed that the female Guppy looked different. All her fins were tattered, jagged looking. So I sat a watched and low and behold along comes a 3 week old Guppy Fry and starts nipping at her, truly biting all over. There is a total of 5 Fry in the tank along with a male Guppy and 4 Neon Tetras and 2 Zebra Danios. So watching, it is only the one Fry that is what I call the "Son of Satan"...doing all the biting. I thought about removing the Guppy female but my other tank has Goldfish and currently I am calming down an aggressive Zebra Danio that ate a tail off another Danio. Has anyone seen an aggresive Guppy Fry?

Thats new to me Biffle, never seen that before. Every time my old guppies bred, and every time my friends guppies bred, the mum was taken straight out.

You sure the "fry" is not a male?

A fry doing damage is very unlikely... My bets are on the Danio during the night unless you crossed them with a pike or something.

It is definetly the 3 week old fry, I was watching as it was nipping and bothering its mom. Cannot tell yet if it is a male or female, no gravid spot showing yet. Nothing like having a abusive child!....LOL!

Look for a gonopodium, not the gravid spot. The males come out much earlier than females.. I have had them trying to breed at under three weeks old before.
