Can anyone answer my question about fins turning black does it mean its male?!?!?!?

oh ya one more thing bump

Males tend to have much more black on their pelvic and anal fins, and are usually 1/3 larger than females at adulthood.

Try google searches too!! That's how I found this info :)

My yellow labs dropped dead too. 2 of them in QT for no known reason and 3 more shortly after. I've never known what the cause was. Sometimes that happens. Was your always skittish? Mine were. Were always hiding too. :dunno:

Mine wasn't skittish at all normally, he did have a few days of not moving much near the bottom before he died.
In fact he was one of top contenders for territory.

Took male pseudo tropheus back, the fish swim around a lot more now.
I also got medication at lfs forget what its called but its a pellet you feed the fish and
it gets rid of all kinds of internal parasites/worms

I also just picked up 4 kenyis and 1 snow white socoloffi from lfs @ 5 for $10
They are like just under 1/2" to about 2/3" and I am quarantining them.
Will they do okay in the big tank in a month or so? My biggest fish (after
pseudo tropheus left) is a pseudo acei and a male kenyi @ 1 1/4 inches or so.
If the kenyis are in a group of five will this spread out the aggression?
I am not sure about gender in the 4 small ones quarantining.
