So I have 4 Hap. venustus in my 55 gallon, and they are really aggresive! When I put my hand in the tank, they bite me. The tank mates are 4 yellow labs, and they are being bullied also. I followed the 1m:3f ratio, and all the water parameters are good.

Hi, tbh tank size and tankmates aren't the best,

The haps get much bigger (10") than mbuna and as you are finding are far more aggressive,
They require a minimum of a 75G IMO, ideally 100G+

The guy at my lfs said that they will be only 5 inches-half the size you said! I know that the yellow labs were going to be more aggresive, and I picked them because they are slightly less aggresive than most mbuna. Well I guess that they will be heading back to the lfs-upgrading the tank isn't really an option for me. I kind of liked the way they looked too :( .

Yup, afraid the guy lied to you they typically reach 10" as Davo said and are fairly aggressive in their own right.
