I have a 55 gallon tank with several assorted malawi cichlids i also have 2 small oscars in a 20 gallon and they are steadily growing. Is it possible to put the oscars and the cichlids in the 55 together and survive without killing each other?

Your 55 gallong isn't big enough for a single oscar so deffinately not with another and africans.

Oscars should be very fast growers in the right tank and on the right diet.

I would get rid of the oscars asap or get a 70g+ tank to keep ONE of them. If you really want both then you need aorund 150gallons and even then there's no gurantee there going to get along together.

I agree with Paul_MTS... either get a large tank and soon, or rehome the oscars. When I got my oscar he was less than 2". Now, only a year later, he is 10-11". He probably hit the 8" mark by 6 months... obviously, they grow fast :S
I keep mine in an 80 gallon and I couldn't imagine that monster in anything much smaller.
