I am becoming totally obsessed with Invertebrates! they are quickly surpassing my love of fish.

I have looked all over for different species, really wanted a blue crayfish but after some brilliant advice on here changed my mind.

After much research I have discovered the African Filter (Fan)shrimp - they look amazing almost like a crayfish but with none of the dangers to my fish.

I have found a website that sells these for £14.95 sized between 5 and 9 cm - thay can grow to about 15cm.

does this seem like a good price?

does anyone have these? or have any experiance or advice on them?

all i've got to do now is persuade my wife they are a good purchase :good:

i currently have 10 amano shrimp and an apple snail - oh and some fish as well.

nobody?

also looked at Asian (Bamboo) shrimp if anyone knows anything about these?

I have a fluval 306 external filter and will be able to direct one of the outlets onto an ornament/stand for the shrimp to give it a good feeding point.

I have had a trio of bamboo shrimp in my hillstream tank for around a month now. They seem to love the high flow areas and sitting on the intake to the external filter. They are pretty good to watch and literally fan all of their food out of the water.

It was a little scary the first they moulted due to the size of their empty shell!

Just be careful what you house them with as they seem quite delicate and I imagine easily uncompeted for food.
