yeah i do have pimafix xxx

That link I just left is one of the the best sites.
Salt baths are near the end of the long article.
Yes go in with the anti internal bacteria med, do you have pimafix.

Ok just did a salt bath. Today the wound is looking a little sore. She is still eating and her normal self.

The thing is coz i'm at work all day and the tank isn't at my house at the moment i won't be able to manage doing more than one or two baths a day. I'll do my best though.

Keep going with the bacterial med it turning into a sore which columnaris can do.
Good luck just hope its not to late.

I did a salt bath and not long after the wound seemed to have tamed in colour so i'm hoping that it's not causing her too much grief like it was. Will continue with these baths however like i said i can't do them as often as i would like. Will this be a big problem?

Even if it is too late, at least i tried hey. I've spent loads of time and money on this little fish.... She'll pull through, she has the eye of the tiger!

hi. im a noob to tropical fish and forums. dont know if this is the right channel but need help . i bought 2 gold loaches yesterday, while they wer being transfered to me they were livley and hard to catch. since yesterday they are swimming on their sides and not looking good at all please help.
its a 2 footer tank. not sure on the amonia just followed instructions and time scales on when to add fish from local aquarium. i have other fish in the tank. 2 neons. 2 cherry barbs. and 2 albino looking catfish which were added with the loaches (not sure of their name) and they are all fine. ive had the tank up and running for about 3 weeks. and since the 2 neons and the 2 cherry barbs were looking good i was told by the pet shop owner that it was fine to add. thanks in advance

How many gallons or litres is the tank.
Added to many fish to fast, and if the fish are on there sides now sounding to good.
Need to do some research on cycling a tank.
Do a water change, and take sample of your tank water to the lfs and tell them to write the readings down for you.
I would advise that you invest in a liquid test kit.

i was told the time the tank had been running and the size of it that it would be ok to add more fish. if there are too many fish in for a new start then it might be too much amonia right?
and if it is would turning my filter up to max help?

increased the filter to max. now i need to know 2 things. will the rest of my fish be allright and do i need to bash the bloke who said it was ok to add?

thanks very much for the link. helps a lot. and thanks for the fast replies.

Do your own research some lfs don't always tell you the truth.
Good luck.

Sorry menrie had to help him, should of told him to do a thread of his own, but he was a newbie.
