If you want to know which corydoras get biggest, I think you're best of posting in the catfish section, seeing as I have no clue. However, most corydoras get a fair size, and would do nicely in your tank.

Thank you very very much for all your help i am going to take the silver dollar back to the pet shop tonight, before its all to late.
Everyones been great!!

I would say that you should return the fish you have now and try to find some mid-sized shoaling fish. Erised has a good idea about the congos (6 would be good, look for 4m/2f) they will stay in the mid water and very active. Corys or Khuli loaches would look good shoaled up on the bottom half of the tank (4 of them, either species) and I would say go for 4 live bearers (platys, fancy guppies, sword tails and mollies would work) of course having 2m/2f of each is a good idea. With them being live bearers, worrying about feeding the others isn't a problem. If you are going with the smaller fish, I would dump the angel and severum also because it will be hard to keep the other fish alive. Smaller fish mean food for the bigger ones. A friend of mine paid the price for getting an angel in a tank with a few couples of smaller fish and by morning they were gone.

Just here to help...........

I would say that a happy shoal of small schooling fish is going to much more of an eyecatcher than one unhappy large schooling fish on its own. What has stuck in my memory from my first attempt at fishkeeping (30 yrs ago) is that a bored fish is a boring fish!

I would either go for a small shoal of something like rasboras or tetras (black Phantoms look very good), and maybe a pair of gouramis (though you need to do your research here for compatibility, probably not more than one male in the tank anyway). Corydoras are said to have great personalities, though again they need to be in small schools. Koohlies are very nice, but again are schooling fish and shy during daytime hours. Or maybe you could fit a bristlenose in, though you need to be careful not to overstock. :fish:

The difficulty is that a lot of the larger, more individual fish have specialist requirements and are often territorial and inclined to beat the sh-t out of smaller fish. Also, your tank is not enormous (though bigger than mine).

Have fun!

Hi again everyone,

Well i just can't WIN!
Took the silver dolalr back and got another angel so my first angel won't be lonely, now the gold sevrum has decided to chase the angels around, will this stop?
I want to keep my gold sevrum because hes awesome!
What do i do!
Argggh

Severums aren't very aggressive but are fully capable of holding their own. This makes them suitable to a wide range of fish. They do grow to about 8 inches so a 20 US Gal / 75 liter aquarium would be pretty well full with just one Severum. From what I understand a Severum can be happy alone.

If you ever upsize your aquarium, I keep a Black Ghost Knife (5 inch) with 2 Green Severums (currently 3.5 inch) and they get along wonderful. These are in a 29 with plans of moving to a 125 by early summer.

Try re-arranging the tank a little. He'll have set his own terretory and he sees the new angel as a fish thats invading His territory. Shuffling some stuff around should work. Just keep an eye on him, he'll probably settle down within a couple of days.

Thats true, if you move some things around in the tank, it would disrupt his territory and he will have to make a new one, which will give the new one a chance to settle in...
