I currently have a 190L tank with a Green Terror (sold to me as a Juvi Blue Acara, but definitely a GT now she's grown), a Keyhole, a Ram, Khuli loaches, Para Pleco, 2 Amano shrimps, 4 Red Fin Columbian Tetras and 2 Rosy Barbs. I have a 5.5g Hex tank with a male Betta in it also.
My dilemma is probably obvious - what to do when the GT gets bigger. I really want to keep her as I've had her since she was about an inch, she has since grown a lot both lengthwise and depth and I am worried about the safety of my other fish as she gets bigger. She is only aggressive when food is about at the moment, but I know this aggression will increase as she grows. I also want to keep my Plec, but realise he'd been fine with her. And my Keyhole especially as he was a rescue fish who I'm proud of saving.
I was considering rehoming the barbs and tetras (definitely want to rehome the barbs as they have destroyed my plants, both real and silk), and getting larger tank for the betta and all other fish and shrimps and keeping the GT and Plec in the 190L. I am unsure how the cichlids will get on with the betta though, and don't want to risk him getting hurt.
Any suggestions on what I can do? I don't really want to have three tanks, but if this is the only option then I may have to consider it.
