Hi All
I am looking to added a couple more fish to my tank but not sure they are suited? would not like to make another boo boo
The fish in question is Barded Gouramii or striped Gourami ? I no the water temps are good.
At mo in tank which is 240lt and 4ft long with fluval external 306 filter , lots of real plants and 3 bits of bogwood and a couple of caves .
Stock in tank is
2 Keyhole Cichilds, 1 Angel , 3 Blackwidows , 1 spotted headstander, 4 Gbr, 10 Cories and 1 brn.
If so how many should I add ?

Or any other idears what might go as looking for a fish that is lovely colours and  will grow roughly to 4 - 5 inches  also not to shy , not a lover of rainbows , did think of maybe a couple more Angels but again not sure ?
Cheers for reading
Cathy

I'm not sure on the gourami going with your current stocking but you might want to look into upping your black widows, they should be kept in a number of at least 6, although more than that is always better

Are the cories you have all the same type?

Hi cheers for answering
The blackwidows  are into old age now and don't really want to add to them. They swim around quite happily . The cories are 4 skunk and 6 bandits and all mix in together , skunk cories are hard to get around here and are £15 each when you do find them .  .

Oh okay gotcha :) Wowee! Glad they all mix together, sorry I can't help with much else :( Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in about the gourami!

Ninjouzata is correct about the Black Widows. My concern there would be that in a small group like that they would start nipping at the Gourami, but it would appear that they don't bother your angel - if that's correct, then you could risk the gouramis too. I would probably only get a pair - as with many gouramis, multiple males can often fight amongst each other. If you get a pair, they can get a bit aggressive during spawning, which could be a problem if the keyholes are spawning at the same time - it won't leave the rest of the fish anywhere to run to!
