I have been ringing Aquariums in the Melbourne Australia area and found the tank Im looking for is around the 90 gallon mark. I found for $428 a 72 x 18 x 18 tank with Pine stand and cover glass. Now the next step up from that tank is almost double that due to the weight the stand will need to hold and the space in my room would be to little.

Ok now the questions I'd like to know whats the best thing to do minus a fishless cycle.
I have a 32 gallon which I could clone it with the filter is 1000 litre per hour.
what sort of filter will I be needing and heater wattage.

Any advice?

Hi. Since you've got another aquarium you probably already know how to set one up. The general rule for filters is that the filter should be able to pump all the aquarium water 4-5 times per hour minimum. So for a 90 gallon tank (90 x 5 = 450) you would look for a filter that pumps a minimum of 450 gallons per hour. More is better, but you just want to make sure that the current isn't too strong.
As for a heater, the rule is 3-4 watts per gallon. So (90 x 4 = 360) the heater needs to be about 360 watts. On a long/ large tank like yours most people would likely reccomend having 2 smaller heaters placed at opposite ends of the tank instead of one large one. I personally would buy two 200 watt heaters and put one at each end. I suppose you could do the same with the filter if you like (buy 2 smaller ones and put them at opposite ends). It's up to you. Once you've got a good stand, filtration, and heaters. Fill it with water, get it to temperature, clone it, decorate it and get some fish! Good luck.

thanks that was my general plan...... cool my tank has 22 fish currently...in a over 100 gallon tank would the 22 small fish be good to help with the cloning cycle??
