hi i have a small tropical set up in a 60 litre biorb everything seems ok water is testing fine i do regular water changes etc anyway recently i have had white spot on 2 of my 4 cherry barbs which i am treating with the reef one biorb first aid kit i have raised the temp in the tank to 82 done a 15% water change last saturday but they don't seem to be improving nor do the spots seem to be dropping off the fish also i have noticed my other 2 barbs seem lethargic but none of my other fish are showing any signs at all and seem fine. are cherry barbs usually first to get such problems as whitespot? will the biorb first aid kit do the job?

:-( :-( :-(

humm does the biorb aid pack thing have carbon and zeolite in it?

tbh i would just get a normal pod take the foam out and remove the carbon and zeo from it then treat it with white spot treatment.

as far as i know the filter cartridge you put in has no carbon in it because after treatment you have to change back to a normal cartridge. after reading a related topic on whitespot i raised the temp in the tank a bit more last night anyway this morn the spots seem to be dropping and the fish have all been feeding so hope things are improving but why just the barbs?

some fish catch it more easyer than others. they get it mostly when under stress and the amune system are low. frequent temperature changes dont help.hope all goes well.
