Hi guys, i hadnt seen 3 of my 6 ADFs for a while, and they all came out while i was doing a water change. I noticed the smallest one had some kind of fungal infection on his front leg, it was huge like it had been rolled in cotton wool loads of times. The following day i noticed he has now lost that leg, but other than that he is eating and dossing like the rest of them :p. I read somewhere about a medication that stimulated limb regeneration in African Dwarf Frogs, but i dont remember what it was, does anybody know of such a product? And does anybody know of a good product to stop the wound getting infected or how to treat it if it is already?

Thanks in advance
Ash

Pimafix is for bacteria and it's all natural so it won't harm the frogs, this should help to prevent or remove any bacteria. I'd suggest isolating that frog so the tank doesn't get infected. As for the chemical to stimulate re-growth... No clue, sorry.

I know vitamin E in salamanders causes legs to regrow. Might work for dwarf frogs as well, though you'd need to find some way to dose it (salamanders you dab it on the skin, but that doesn't work underwater.
