Heey, I have a 60 Litre tank and in it at the moment are 4 male guppies and 2 platies.  However I would like to get some more fish to put in there - any ideas?  I would like pretty, colourful ones if possible ;)

I know about tetras, but is there anything else?  I've had a dwarf gourami in the past but it was a bit aggressive?

Thanks for your help!

Neon or cardinal tetras would probably fit the bill for small and colourful.  Unlike some fish, they aren't too likely to nip your guppies if kept in a group of 6 or 8.  Neons are cheaper and more common, but due to excessive farming they are very sensitive....cardinals are fairly sensitive but if you keep your water paramaters good you should be ok.

Another option is the honey gourami.  They aren't as colourful as dwarf gouramis but they are small, fairly colourful, peaceful and cute!!  I used to have a trio and they were quirky and peaceful.  They never nipped in my tank ever!  They were just so endearing!  The male was always making bubble nests behing the filter....:)

No, I mine definitely didn't :) - I didn't have mine with guppies though...as far as I am aware they should be fine.  I had 1 male and 2 females and found that worked out pretty well :)

I agree about honey gouramis. My trio doesn't seem to be aware there are other types of fish in the tank. I admit I don't have any fish with long fins in with them, but I can vouch for them being non-aggressive towards the other fish in my tank.

I've had guppies and dwarf gouramis together before with no issues. However my Gouramis have always been in numbers of 2 or more.

I have 4 honey sunset gouramis, they tend to schoal together and wander all over.  They are little pigs though, they will eat anything and everything (including my shrimp).  They haven't ate any plants yet, they just pick at them at the algae.
