Adding Fish

Little problem. Every time I add any new fish he loses a tail or something but only new fish all my other fish are fine.

I want to add 4 more peppered coreys to the 2 I already have what's the best way so they don't get attacked ( no idea who's doing it guessing it's the angel fish)

This is quite common. What fish do you have at the minute? If the water is kept clean with frequent water changes then the tails should grow back fairly quickly!

2 Angel fish.
1 Gourami.
9 Neons.
4 Black widowed Tetras
1 bristlenose pleco
1 Rainbow shark
2 Peppered Corey
1 harlequin rasbora (in hatchery getting better)
3 Retarded guppies (Deformed) cant even give them away

my gourami was first to get attacked 1 died and 1 survived put in a hospital tank. added back after 2 weeks they all get on fine. But anything new is gona have it.

Possibly your Angel fish then, i had some black widdow tetra's once and they were sods for nipping the fins of the other fish.

Im guessing its the angel fish as well. My gourami has started chasing my angel fish away now so they tend to stay away from him.

Do you think coreys will be fine to add as they are always in places where my angels wont go??

I think it might be the black widows. Angels don't normally nip other species; whereas I know the widows are very nippy, especially in smaller shoals.

Cory's should be fine really. Would be suprised too if the Angels were the culprits. If you hadn't have mentioned that the Gourami took a beating i would have suggested them too as they can also be aggressive. My Angels have never really been that bad other than when breeding.

Hmm see i have never seen the angels nipping. My missues told me she seen the guppies eating the fin on the ill gourami but im guessing thats normal.

And the black widows do like to chase the others a little.
