I have a 37 gallon tank (30x12x22). Right now it is stocked with 1 marble angelfish (dime size), 4 peppered corries, and 10 cardinal tetras. Do you think i could add one more angel fish or would that be overstocked?

You easily have room for another, that will be a really nice looking set up. Here is one of my breeding pairs of angels. The darker male is def a marble angel but I cant decide if the female is a marble angel or a koi angel.

any suggestion on what type of angel, maybe somethinng bright?

A gold is about as bright as they get, and would be a nice contrast to the marble. I've got a pair of blacks that is throwing golds along with the blacks, the contrast between the two looks nice.

will i be fully stocked after i add this last angelfish, or could i add more? I would also like to get a golden ram if it would fit.

you might as well throw in a pair of gold rams. I think you have plenty of room.

Ok.. I just added the second angel! How can you tell if they are male or female. They are both about quarter size. They seem to be following eachother around the tank.

hope this helps THE ONLY SURE WAY is to watch spawning: the female lays eggs and the male fertilizes them. Before spawning, a small pink protrusion or papilla will appear. This pencil point size organ is located between the ventral and anal fins. The papilla on the female is larger than on the male, more blunt. The female will show a distinct bulge in this area when she is gravid. As she makes a spawning pass, she will leave a track of eggs evenly spaced in a line. The male will follow in another pass, touching each egg with his papilla. He many continue making passes for a day or so, for good measure

Whenever i feed my fish the tetras get all of the flakes and leave no food for the angels. the angels don't even seem to recognize that it is feeding time. They just swim around mid level of the tank. I am just worried that the angels will starve to death. Do i need to get sinking pellet food, or can I just stay with my flake food? Do angelfish swim mid to bottom level or mid to high level? (wanted to know that)

Stick with the flakes, suppliment with some brine shrimp, and occasionally bloodworms. Angels tend to go mid to top, but will pretty much go top to bottom. Zippy fish tend to hog the food from angels, try putting some flakes in the stream of the filter to shoot some of them to the lower levels of the tank. It's not unusual for any fish to refrain from eating after being introduced to a new tank. I have yet to see a healthy angel starve to death, once they settle in they eat like pigs.

You should have some sinking food, as well as bloodworms for the corys. They will eat the leftover flakes that hit the bottom, but require a little more protein than most flakes provide.
