I have a question to ask........

Once i get a bigger tank over 70UK gallons, do you think i could possibly try to get another oscar?, if i bought an oscar around the same size as the one i have, would they get along, or won't he like a new oscar invading his territory?

or does it depend on the personality of each fish?

thanks

Like you said, mostly depends on the individual fish. However, expect fireworks. I would say for two oscars you're looking at over 100 Gallons of water (USG) before I think you should try it, especially if they havn't been raised from juvenile together. When you get the bigger tank, try and introduce them at the same time, and try and get similar sized fish if you're going to try this. Be prepared to remove one of them if the fighting gets too much, which its quite probably it might.

Also what size is the current oscar you have?

well i wouldn't want to injure any fish, and theres no way i can get a 100gallon tank, so ill stick with my one oscar who seems very happy on its own anyway

he is 9-10 inches including the tail

Hmm, sensible, but just incase you didnt see I said 100 USG (about 85? Uk gallons). Others may try it at less, but thats what I'd recommend.

I wouldnt try adding another oscar to a tank with an adult unless you have at least a 6x2x2 and even that could be a real problem, when i had oscars a year or so ago i added a second one to a 200g tank and they fought for a week before sorting their differences out.

Must have been a interesting fight! 2 Mammoth's on a rampage!( well, mammoth compared to what i keep!).

It's an interesting thought, but I wouldn't do it either. Too many potential problems.

There is a thought though...maybe add something else?

I'm not sure what to add. I've thought about adding another fish to my 75, but I'm not sure what else would be ok with an Oscar of that size.
