Hi Guys,
I have had countless private messages since starting my new journal about the lily pipe and what it offers over conventional outflow pipes/hoses and thought this would be useful to show people its capabilities and help justify its high price tag.
I hope this little video with the below explanation will accompany the "ADA Lily Pipe Review" that I posted a few weeks ago, which is linked at the bottom of the page.
I will start with some simple information for those who have no knowledge of the product.
What is it?
The lily pipe is quite simply an outflow tube for an external filter. That is, the apparatus that sends the water from the filter back to the tank. It replaces the standard filter outlet, e.g filter hose that you get with the filter by fitting onto standard 12mm tubing.
Who Makes it?
ADA, the leaders in planted tank glassware and equipment.
Price?
There are a few depending on which size tank you buy, but the P2 is about £85.
What makes it so special?
Number one reason is the aesthetics of the equipment. It is a beautifully hand made piece of glassware and looks fantastic in any tank!
