I was browsing around the internet trying to find alternative treatment solutions for dropsy, as I've said in my previous topic I've been treating my female ACF for it for some months.
Appart from some small shriveled up patches she is still huge, when she swims it looks like a post gastric bypass patient - jogging!
Anyway I read on this one website that it can be lanced.
I'm wondering because she is so huge, if I should indeed lance the areas and drain the majority of the excess fluid. Then the treatment can do the rest because I'm not sure if it's having enough of an effect the size she is now.
I'm worried because dropsy can be and very offen is fatal.
I think maybe it could be worth a try, if it doesn't work it doesn't work and the worst off she'll be for it is slighty sore and pissed with me.
At least I can relieve some of the pressure.
On the other hand giving the treatment a helping hand I could make her better. I have access to sterile equipment so the risk of infection is minimal.
I'm looking for some feedback / opinions, please.
