Over the summer I set up a 20 tall with a couple guppies, a dirted substrate and some plants. Over the past 2 months the guppies have multiplied like crazy, and the plants are out of control growing out of the tank. There are so many chunks of pearlweed trimmings floating. I had like handfuls of this stuff, and when I lifted it all up out of the water I saw like dozens of baby guppy fry hiding in the stuff. I didn't do any water changes or anything. I just let it sit out int he sun with an air stone.

What should I do now? I want to transfer them inside. I think I will be putting them in my aquaponics tubs and let them reproduce and all that in my tubs which will feed the plants.

I have two 100 liter plastic tubs outside full of plants like that also, when I trim my tanks I put the cuttings in and in no time I have more plants

Same thing happened with me. It's so cool lifting it up and seeing all the fry.

I think I'll put them in 5 gallon buckets with my plants in my aquaponics unit.
