Accidental F2...

Well, yesterday one of my jarred females jumped into the boys tank. Since it's cold here, I Half-fill his tank, then put the jars in the tank and keep em all warm. So girly decided bro was looking fine, and jumped into his tank. He's got a clutch of eggs now...

I don't have a second spawn tank I can move them into, so I'll leave dad in for a few days, then move him in with the big boys in the divided, and cross my fingers and hope.

Dumb, horny fish.

Thanks Julie! (And no thanks, grr... ) At least I'll have a better chance at some plakats, this looks like a bigger clutch then the first F2, so I'm really hoping for at least one or two plakat males.

Dad came out today. Lots of babies this time (for me at least!). This is my first batch using silver from the beginning - we'll see how it goes.

Yup, that's the stuff! However, I got it from GNC and when I got home to figure out the PPM, it was not very concentrated. I'll be out to get more in a day or two.
