Acanthicus Adonis.....polka Dot Lyre Tail Pleco

I went for a little drive today and visited a shop, they had one of these in,it was around 12-14inches

asked the kiddie there how much etc,didnt know what it was and the owner was on day off, so i came home and have been trawling planet catfish and found it....wow its a stunning catfish...

Also there was an african lung fish and a jardini along with silver arowana all around 3-4inches which for my neck of the woods is pretty good going,also a 7-8inch EBJD Which actually was quite a little stunner,

so anyway who keeps this sexy catfish?

I don't but my mate has a little one, about 8" now that she's had for 18 months or so. Lovely fish, shame they lose the spots as they mature.

It's basically a meter long plec mate and can be extremely aggressive. I opt not to get it if it was me but then again if i had a huuugggeeee tank to house it alone, it would definitely be a fish of choice of mine

its just up the road from ashley heath carboot place just after moors valley....

might be going again next week...they have such an array of odd little fishes at present,lots of different betta types and very small nail sized gourami's and odd fishe's,along with all the usual stuff....

I would love it but as stated think its a giant fish which i will be stuck with,but its soooo sexy

Yeah they are pretty nice!! You could always get a snowball and a lyretail and hope that they breed Or if they stood next to eat other you get the same kind of thing going on

I'm pretty sure Cane used to have one of these as I can vaguely remember him advertising it for sale on here,

They are indeed stunning plecs when they are young, never seen a big one though
