 Can I keep affican cilids in a 48 gallon(us) with 2 rope fish and white lobster?

Nope sorry, the lobster will rip cichlids to shreds, as it will with pretty much any fish in there :'(

As per advice in Chat, the rope fish are too big for this tank.

Laurac his problem would no longer be the cray catchild a fish, the cichlid would rip the crap to shreds depending on size and how aggressive the cichlids are. I know if I put my blue cray in with my cichlids 30 mins after putting her in the tank she would be gone.

Tony, you already have several fish which will need upgrading soon. I think you should focus on keeping these fish properly before trying to get new ones.
