A Two-filter Installation?

Due to cabinet size restrictions I'm unable to fit a Tetratex EX 1200 external filter, so plan to install two EX 600s instead. My question is, what is the best method of installation regarding the two sets of inlets and outlets? For example, each filter's inlet and outlet in the same corner?: or with each filter's inlet/outlet at opposite corners?: or link to a full-length spray bar?

This will be for a heavily planted tank, with CO2 injection.

Id go with the inlet/outlet of each on one side, so effectively the spray bars would meet in the middle, with one intake either end of the tank.

I wouldn't use a spray bar and have them in a cross pattern so left side would have inlet at back, outlet at front and right side would have inlet at front, outlet at back.
