A Tough Dilema, Large Pleco In Poss Danger

my daughters freind has a tank that has a leak, she inherited the tank and hates it, i rehomed the swordtail and the cherry barb but couldnt take the very large pleco, hes about 10" the tank is in very poor condition and now the freinds new partner is throwing rubbish like fag ends and beer cans in the tank (apparently) my daughter wants us to have the pleco as she really likes him but i only have a 3ft tank the freind wants rid, tank as well, its a 5ft i think but i have no room for a tank that size, could i put him in a 3ft? i think maybe not but im at a loss of what to do, is there anyone local in devon who would take him, im sure the freind will be more than happy if someone else rehomed him

I know the LFS down by KFC has a massive plec in there at the moment which I imagine they're rehoming for the owner (I love the sign underneath "mahoosive"). Maybe worth asking if they'd take him off your hands?

Google Map to the closest Maidenhead Aquatics 6 miles away. Take the fish and give it to them for rehoming. Very simple really.

@Phoenix: Yup, I live in Bovey Tracey but there's no fish shops here, so the one in Newton is my "home" shop.

I can't believe it took Tizer up in Oxford to tell me there's a Maidenhead Aquatics in Teignmouth! I had no idea! My boyfriend lives in Teignmouth, nice excuse to be in the area

Some people .... Is there no way to house him in your 3ft for the moment till he can re-homes? It's better than nothing!!
I hope the girl has not just buggered off? Can you locate the landlord in order to try gain entry.
Really, some people are dispicable!!
