A Stupid Question For Smart People

i was wondering if there are any not very aggresive cichlids out there that aren't rare, nor are they rare, and wouldn't attack 2 angels in a 30g. I am tired of tetras with no personality.

apistogramma or laetacara are good and bolivian rams theres also taeniacara candidi or nanacara anomala really theres loads to choose from have a look here

are there any CA/SA out there? my water conditions are best for SA/CA 'cause of the angels. i know that bolivian rams are common but i can't find them around me.

Keyhole cichlids are fairly small and peaceful. Almost certain they are CA/SA

There are a few dwarf cichlids that are peaceful as long as they are not breeding. Such as German Blue Rams. So look into that

No not at all not only are they aggressive they'd out grow the tank in no time at all. 2 angels in a 30G if I'm not mistaken 30 gallons are 36x16x12? 12 inch depth isn't going to suffice for angels long term. Shame you can't find Bolivian rams they make good buddies with Angels as long as your angels aren't spawning

I would imagine that Steatocranus would be a reasonably safe bet, given that thay stay close to the tank floor (due to lack of swim bladder), while the Angels will not want to catch their large lower fins on furniture on the substrate.

I have kept angels and festivums Mesonauta festivus sucessfully together

Unless you choose something extremely small and unthreatening (such as an apistogramma) I really can't see it working in a 30G tank. Cichlids are cichlids. They all are rather territorial, and like to fight a bit (or a lot !). In a larger tank, yes it could well work, but not a tank which is really a bit too small anyway.

have a look on AC there may be some bolivian rams in your area on there did you take a look at any of the fish i listed in my first post there your best options for that tank size
